Afterkelas was founded by Mifzal Salihin, who scored 9A+ in SPM, graduated from Universiti Malaya with a perfect 4.00 GPA and the Professor Gray Gold Medal Award, and was named Tokoh Siswa Kebangsaan 2022, before pursuing his MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London. But the real story is what he learned along the way: doing well in exams is not only about studying harder. It is about knowing what to focus on, how to break down difficult topics, how to practise properly, and how to answer when the pressure is on.
That is why Afterkelas is built around two things: the right tutor and the right method. Our tutors are carefully selected from top universities such as Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, and Universiti Malaya, and trained in the Afterkelas teaching approach. Not just tutors who know the subject, but tutors who know how to get you through it.

What is Afterkelas?
Afterkelas is a Malaysian online tutoring platform, founded in 2020, that connects Upper Secondary students with top-performing university tutors for live online classes. We specialise in SPM-track Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology on the KSSM syllabus.
Which subjects and levels does Afterkelas cover?
Our core focus is SPM Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Secondary students. For 1-on-1 tutoring we also cover English, Bahasa Malaysia, History, Geography, Accounting, Economics and Business Studies, across Primary (KSSR), Secondary, Pre-University and Tertiary levels.
Are classes taught in English or Bahasa Melayu?
Both. Afterkelas tutors teach in English (including DLP classes) and in Bahasa Melayu, and you can choose the medium that matches how your school teaches the subject.
Who are the Afterkelas tutors?
Afterkelas tutors are university students and graduates who scored top grades in SPM themselves, screened before they teach. Many are reading Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Science and related degrees at Malaysian universities.
What tutoring formats does Afterkelas offer?
Three formats: personalised 1-on-1 online tutoring matched to a single student, the Open Online Classroom for group cohorts working through the same SPM-track syllabus, and Intensive Online Workshops that target tough exam topics, usually during school holidays.
How do online classes at Afterkelas work?
All classes run live online, so students join from home with a laptop or tablet and an internet connection. Lessons follow the KSSM syllabus with tutor-prepared materials and exercises, and parents get visibility of how their child is progressing.
How do I get started or ask about pricing?
